Starlight

Hi everyone,
It's already Friday and the second week of school hols.  We went and watched Madagascar 3 and enjoyed it immensley.  Marty still has it .  If you haven't seen it, it's worth watching for young and old alike.
I've started making Chirstmas cards for our troops so apologies for the lack of postings.  There's a lady whose husband is in the services asking crafters to donate cards to send overseas since our troops don't get a chance to buy cards to send home.  I always find old scap paper and embellishments laying in my MANY drawers that I don't get to use up, so why not put them to good use and come up with some new ways to use them.
Well I did manage to colour this Gorguss girl for the challenge over at http://blog.markerpop.com/  Spellbinders Shapeabilities was used, SU cardstock, Copic markers ofcourse and a embellishment as well.

THE CHALLENGE: Oldies, but Goodies
Pull out your oldest markers and use them! If you can’t remember your oldest markers, just use some that you think are some of your oldest ones. We’re not going to know the difference ;)   You DO NOT have to use a Gorjuss stamp like we did –as long as you color something, it counts! You may play along with other challenges, but excessive challenge pile-ons (7 or more challenges) will result in disqualification for our amazing prize. As always, have fun creating!

Fall leaves

Howdy dowdy,
I remember going to our nation's capital a cpl of years ago and seeing autumn in all it's glorious colours.  We were there for a SU convention where I got to meet old friends and make a few new ones as well.  Sadly here in sunny Queensland we don't really have a autumn season and winter is non existent.  The photo in my main heading was taken by me when we were down there.  I've always had this facination with holly leaves - must be cause of the leaf shapes and colours.  Here's a card I've made that suits a few challenges out there atm.

Tonight we took the fam out to celebrate a special event in our lives.  Japanese was the pick of the nite.

Anyways, back to the card above.  I made this cute fairy for a friend's birthday this week.  So I'll be entering her into the challenge over at http://mojomonday.blogspot.com.au/2012/09/mojo-monday-258.html
