Please Know

Goodness gracious,
Someone turned down the temp today...  Winter is def around the corner and I think we hit single digits this morning...  Here's one I've done the for challenge at http://cas-ualfridays.blogspot.com.au/
cfc101
I've used some different techniques on this card.  I coloured a SU stamp image using Tim Holtz Distress markers, used a Versa Mark pen to colour the image so I could use Clear embossing powder to give the image a little shine.  The cardstock is from SU, the saying was using Memento Ink, glitter for the tops of the flowers.   Gave the sides a little stitched look.  I used Kaiser Craft - Lilac Avenue Collection.

Good Morn
I think the cold weather has finally caught up with us here in sunny Brissy.  Makes it hard to exercise when all you want to do is stay in ur fluffy pjs and stay in bed.  But here I am all dressed and ready to head out the door for some Crossfit to get the blood moving...
Fingers crossed this week I get to enter all the challenges I'm always promising to do.  Here's a card I've come up with last nite for the challenge over at http://freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com.au/

Poppies

Here's a simple card I've done for the challenge over at http://casethissketch.blogspot.com.au/

Used copics to colour the SU  poppies stamp, SU water colour crayons for the back ground, Sizzix embossed greetings with SU markers to go over the wording, and swirls.  Tim Holtz tag and SU cardstock for the rest.  Some twine at the bottom for some dimension. The stamped image is from SU using black Memento Ink.

Miss you

For Mum

Hi everyone,
Would you believe Mother's Day is this Sunday coming up.  Does everyone have something planned for the day, or rather the family's going to do breakkie/brunch???  Well here's a card I've done for a mate..  His mum is gonna be down the coast for the day.  He wanted a beach/seaside theme for his card this year.
Ain't you tube wonderful, what did we do before all that info and tech was at our finger tips.
I made a 3-fold step card, using intials, lots of different textures.
I've added a little saying which goes like this

Your thoughtfulness of others
And your patience, day by day
Your warmth and understanding
And your helpful, loving way...
Those are the things we cherish
And are especially thinking of
As we sign this card that simply
says - To Mum with all our love

Rose 4 U

Hi everyone,
The day was just gorgeous and you couldn't ask for a better autumn day.  Today I've started exercising at a new place.  Some of you might know what I'm talking about when I say Crossfit...  You may ask and say why do it and my answer would be  - trying something new, stepping up the intensity of exercising and seeing how far I can push my body...  Crazy I know, but the motto No Pain, No Gain is about right.  We had double unders (turning the rope twice for the one jump)  for my very first workout 100 was needed but I was allowed to do 50 which I managed.

Enough of the exercise and onto my big love of crafting...  This card was put together very easily tonight.  This is going into the new challenge  over at http://totallygorjuss.blogspot.com.au/2013/04/challenge-180-embossing.html .  I've sanded the debossed background and love it.

Beautiful

Hi everyone

Thoughts and prayers to the victims and the families hurt in the Boston Marathon this week.

This week has been trying to get back into routine with the new school term starting, me finishing up with my old gym and starting a new exercise called Crossfit.  Here's to a stronger, fitter body.

I've managed to put this card together by the seat of my pants.  It was suppose to be for a gf birthday yesterday but I wasn't too happy with what I had.  So here's the finished result with added embellishment to finish it off.  Simple but classy I must say.
I'm entering this into the challenger over at

Cogs n all things

Hey everyone,
Happy Easter Friday...  It's been a mad week with work, cooking, cooking and more cooking.  You name it I got to cook it.  Now this card I pictured in my head before it went down on paper. It fits quite a few challenges this week.  I got to use some of my new dies and embossing folder.  Gotta admit I like all the different textures and colours.

Hey one and all
The start of a new week and it's already filled with things to do...
The weekend gone was the Stitches and Craft Show in Brisbane.  Spent a lovely day wondering around the show looking at all the wonderful new things and catching up with people I don't get to see often.  So for my goodie bag I got a whole lot of new dies from Sizzix and Fancy that.  Now to put them to good use.
Been a while since I did much colouring with my Copic pens so here's my effort.
