Ello

G'day
Well I managed to colour this little cutie this afternoon.  Using a Gorjuss stamp I've coloured her with Copic pens, embossed the back ground with a Cuttlebug embossing folder, Liquid pearls on the booties, buttons and beanie for dimension.  Tim Holtz distress ink , SU ribbon, die cut from Spellbinders shapabilites (Blossoms Tags and Accents).  Finally Candi brads to finish it off.
Second time lucky I think I've got it right this time.

Baby Girl

I'm doing okay this week.  The moon and sun must be alined.  Three cards done and dusted.
Well this one certainly fits into the challenge over at http://www.thecricutchirp.com/2012/06/july-cricut-chirp-challenge-1-smiling.html  Something clean and simple for a baby girl.

LEST WE FORGET

Hiya blogging friends and visitors,
The drama's of a Cricut Gypsy that had come back from the dead....   Note to self, don't do anything silly with it.
Onto the challenges out there.  I notice there's a lot of red, white n blue, stars n stripes, 4th July themes happening.  So for my take since we're in the Land Downunder and don't celebrate the 4th July, I thought I'd do one in the theme colours in support of our troops deployed around the world, past and present armed services.

A very big THANKS to all armed forces and personnel

Stars and Sparkles

Bonjour
My Gypsy has died  :( and the trouble I've had to try and get it replaced with a new one (re-serializing it with the orginal number) is painful beyond belief.  Makes you wonder about linking the cartridges onto the machine in the first place.  Provocraft certainly don't make it easy for crafters that don't live in the United States or Canada....
Can you believe it's July and it's the count down towards Christmas...  Looks like I should start planning my Chrissy cards soon.  I was asked to make a male teen card for a friend of mine for his nephew who in a band and plays the guitar.  I might have to retake the pic tomorrow in natural light to show the colours in better light.

Good morning
The sun has finally come out after a cpl of weeks of overcast and wet weather.  You forget how glorious the sunshine is and how everything always looks so bright and beautiful when it's not there.
I've been playing with my Copic pens the last cpl of weeks after buying some gr8 stamp sets to colour in.
This card fits into a few of the challenges currently running.  I did a quick free hand sketch of the flower beside Marci since it was quicker and easier to do then find a stamp.

Pretty in Pink

Hey hey everyone,
Life is too short and the days not long enough.  At the last craft show I came across these Gorguss stamps which I absolutely love.  I ended up getting quite a few of these stamp sets.  I've entered this card into the challenge over at http://cas-ualfridays.blogspot.com.au/  #58 - Pretty in Pink.  I used the Spica pen to give some highlights in her hair and shimmer pen to give the stars some sparkle.

Lala Land Make and Take

Here is a wonderful picture sample of the projects  I got to do at the Scrapbook and Papercraft Convention this weekend gone.  Aren't they just the cuties.  Lol funny how I still miss having some of the colours even though I've got just under 300 pens...  So I've had to improvise with my girl and she's nearly the same as the above pic..  Will post once I've put the card together...

Miss you

Ello one and all
Well we've just had the big mid year Scrapbook and papercraft show...  :D  This year I decided to invest in some gawjuss stamp sets of this pretty little girl above me.  But  my big news is  for you fans of the Lala Stamps - I got to make a couple of make and takes with the artist herself Irina Blount who was doing these freebies.  While I was waiting my turn I had a great chat with Eric Berry the other artist to the Lala stamps...  I was a great insight to how they come out their designs and what their thoughts are.  Will have to post a pic of them with me in a photo.
The other special guests were Tim Holtz ( I didn't get around to see him  :() too busy spending and looking at all the wonderful things.  Jan Marie an Mike Caruso from Flourishes stamps also did a make and take...  I also got to meet some wonderful people whom I've admire through their blogs.

I came out with lots of dies and quite a few Gawjuss stamp sets with a few other ones thrown in...   Now to put these Copic markers to good use.  I haven't done much stamping with my cricut helping me cut out the shapes I love.  I used the old masking technique to get this image done.  So that's gonna be my oldie but goodie technique to re-use my millions of old stamps with my new fave stamps...  :D

Well back to this card challenge http://cas-ualfridays.blogspot.com.au/  #56 - Sweet Spot

Thinking of U

Hiya,
I can't believe how cold it is,  lol 10 degrees last nite and the wheat bags in the microwave to warm the beds up.  The winds down south has caused havoc on our coastlines...

A very simple card was made for the challenges over at
 http://diecuttindivas.blogspot.com.au/2012/06/challenge-68-sketch.html
http://celebratetheoccasion.blogspot.com.au/  #65 Thinking of You (must use flower)

I used Cricut Gypsy Wanderings, SU cardstock, stamp and ink, paper piercing kit and punch, and some very old paper from the stack.  Glimmer pen was used on the flower ( now I'm not sure if I should of left it as the original red)

Them Shoes...

Evening one and all
Can you believe it's June already and we now have the winter ahead of us.  Lol I even briefly had my jumper off for half an hour today.  Thank goodness for fru fru pants ( furry jammy pants).

Now onto challenges this card would suit
http://craftspotbykimberly.blogspot.com.au/  - #57 Buttons and Bows
http://celebratetheoccasion.blogspot.com.au/ #64 Anything Goes
http://cas-ualfridays.blogspot.com.au/  #55 Put a Bling on it

I've use Cricut Wall Decor and More Cartridge, Bling on the heels, Organza ribbon with a clear flower button tied on with craft wire.  The sentiment is a rub on with some embossed background for some added dimension.
I've sprayed glimmer mist on the shoes to give it that added shimmy.

D'oh I've just realised I'm entering some of these cards into challenges I've already done.  Oh well the more the merry and cheers to you all...  :D

HB - male

Good morning one and all
The day started rainy and miserable, but the sun has decide to show it's lovely self.  Certainly makes a difference to see that blue sky.
A simple male card done for the challenge #67 over athttp://diecuttindivas.blogspot.com.au/ (Anything Goes)
http://celebratetheoccasion.blogspot.com.au/2012/05/challenge-64-anything-goes.html

The Cricut Father's Day cartridge was used with the shimmy paper for the body of the bike. SU brads, cardstock was used, with the plaid from the millions of paper I own.  Rub ons are the best when laziness comes to not wanting to write the sentiment.

Rooster

Hey all
It's Monday and winter is finally upon us today... lol there's a distinct chill in the air. Jumpers and jeans had to be worn all day.
Onto the card I've done for the challenge over at http://craftspotbykimberly.blogspot.com.au/  #55 - Down on the Farm.

I've use the rooster from Wall Decor and More cartridge and coloured with Copic pens using Glimmer Mist to give it a shimmy effect.  SU cardstock, stamp and inks are used.  Spellbinders circle nestabilities with ribbon lace. My Mind's Eye Summer Song cardstock and the wording was done by shimmy pens.
