A VERY PROUD MUM

Hi everyone
Last night the family got to go to an official opening for art subjects created by students from yr 9 to 12 from different schools at the local council art gallery.  My son and his classmate's lifesize SHARK creation was chosen with 4 other pieces representing his college.  The work displayed there was awesome and it's inspiring to see so many talent students out there.
Back to the shark, it's huge.  You certainly see it when you walk in the room. I was told by his art teacher that the students had to design, make a mini model and then make it to the actual size of the shark using cardboard, acrylics and spray can paint to finish off the projects.  The shapes cut were suppose to represent the armour of the creatures created.

So from very proud parents, especially his mother I wanted to share this with you...

G'day everyone,
It's that time of year again.  I had an order for some chrissy cards and thought I'd betta start on them pronto, (still took many a nite).  I had some very old metal embellishments and with the Copic pens was able to give them a new face lift.  The ribbon was also coloured.  SU cardstock, ds paper, Spellbinders oval scallop, and some very old Sizzix papers was put to use.
So for the next cpl of posts are going to be chrissy cards.

Embellishing my new orthopedics

Hi everyone
Today I had to get some new orthopedic thongs (slip-ons) lol  for my bung feet.  They only had a black and grey pair left.  So what does a girl have to do, decorate them ofcourse!!!!  Being a crafty girl and a good imagination - that's what I proceeded to do.
I used DCWV Old World adhesive Ribbon, cloth flower petals, yellow buttons and silver Kindy glitz.  I still had to do some blanket stitching on the ribbon to hold it down.
Have a gr8 week ppls   :D

WIP (Work In Progress) update

Hi everyone,
As you can see my door is gradually taking shape.  Not sure if  I like where the painting is heading.. Good thing is I can always paint over and redo the whole thing.  Lol sometimes I wished I kept some of my old paintings except their under 10 other paintings done on top of one another.  Will keep you posted with progress pics.
Let me know what you think?   I'm always interested to know what everyone's thought are.

Have a gr8 wkend ....   :D

WIP - sliding door to the bathroom

Hi everyone,
WIP - I finally decided to paint the sliding door to the bathroom.   :D  Lol I can see my kids tell me that I shouldn't be painting on walls and doors since they always got in trouble.   At least I don't have to worry about where to store the painting once it's finished...
